Handsome

           Here is my boy Handsome.  Don't you think Ky's Valley Dare & Songer's Ambraw Hank did themselves proud?  Handsome is a beautiful colt all around.  He is about the darkest chestnut I have ever had in all my 30+ years of breeding & I'm not sure he won't just go ahead to brown or chocolate.  Time will tell.  And his little face marking is so attractive & interesting.  He has a snip you know & half a diamond on his upper lip with the other half on his bottom lip.  Then of course his 2 hind socks.

          Handsome is built & gaited beautifully too.  His personality?  Well, he is a really sensitive young guy.  I haven't halter broke him yet although he thinks nothing of having a halter put on & off.  But what we have done is to just take guidance from the whip being pointed to stear him from barn to pasture gate, etc.  Mr Barnes would guide his stallions in the barn with just a whip to direct them.  I've always wanted to do it & it just fell into place for Handsome & I to work in this fashion.  He is a smart boy & catches on fast!
