Judella,

I thought I'd let you know how your old horse is doing. He's 13 years old now, wow how time flies. He's a truly great horse. Solid, horse sense. Got a new shoer and he's gaiting well and we had a real nice canter today. He's very sweet and gentle, still likes to clown around. We ride at this old farm that they turned into a county park. They have a horse trail and farm animals. Red loves animals. They have pigs there and the first time Red saw them it was love at first site. He put his head over the fence and started to lick them. He's licked calves and cats too.I finally got the go ahead from the DNR to do the camping videos, so we'll be working on those. Red gives a nice smooth ride for the camera. I had a person who bought one of my videos and they want to make videos out west. She asked me how I got such smooth film footage as when they tried it's real bouncy. I told her my horse was a Foxtrotter and had a real smooth walk. My first pic is from our 2008 vacation in South Dakota. We are in the town of Deadwood. They had a trail that you could take from the parking lot.

That is the prettiest country I ever rode in. Red was amazing. Part of the trail went alongside a highway that was used mainly for commercial traffic, which means trucks. He didn't bat an eye. Got me through some rough territory.

The last one is from today. We rode at a park about 45 minutes from where I live. Keep breeding those excellent horses of yours.

Thank you,

Lorie Bastien
